Tagged - NSDAP Gau OberAbscnhittsLeiter Kragenspiegel - c.1938-45. Constructed out of a tan lacquered buckram base that has been covered in a red wool with hand embroidered light and dark gold bullion all trimmed with stitched-on burgundy piping. The obverse features an NSDAP eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons, above a single oak leaf flanked with two acorns to the steam above a six-piece oak leaf line cluster on a red wool background and bordered in a burgundy piping. The reverse has a glued on RZM paper tag with a maker’s code of “A4/23” and a number code of “No 098919”. It measures 1 7/8 inches wide by 3 inches tall. Beautiful craftsmanship.
