Goliath Grip, Model 1935 – Generic Heer Dolch. Veteran Bring Back with Certificate stating it was shipped by a “Russell Landstorm” on July 25, 1945. The blade on this one looks great. The crossgrain is gorgeous, running the full length of the blade being is easily visible as you shine it in the light. The fit is tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates an Exc++/NM. It shows minor spotting and scratches throughout. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, nickel-silver plated and lacquered scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and oak leaf and acorn bands. It has been bumped to the middle. The original throat retaining screw continues to remain intact. The zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated crossguard remains nice a bright with crisp detail. It has a small wiggle and there is some plating loss to the reverse. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The goliath grip has some chips and cracks. The previous owner glued back some of the chips and the pommel can no longer come lose. All patching patina. A solid veteran bring back!
