Early NSDAP Armband
Early NSDAP Kampfbinde/Armbinde. The official pattern armband was worn on the upper left sleeve of most all NSDAP uniforms as the identifying organizational insignia. It is constructed out of a red wool base with a stitched-on three-piece rayon roundel. The obverse features a black mobile swastika, stitched to a white roundel that is stitched to a red wool base. The top and bottom have been folded over and stitched together. The reverse has been sewn together to size. It shows mothing, minor holes and age wear/soil throughout. It measures 7 1/2 inches wide by 4 11/16 inches tall. We also see this exact same construction armband with SS/RZM tags for SS overcoats. Purchased from the veteran’s family.
