Uniform Removed - Schutzpolizei Officer Sleeve Eagle
Schutzpolizei Ärmelhoheitsabzeichen für und Offiziere 1942. The Schutzpolizei performed police functions for cities and larger towns. It is constructed out of hand embroidered straight, crunched, rolled and twisted silver aluminum bullion and black rayon thread to a field gray wool base and uniform cut off base. The obverse depicts a second pattern police eagle, with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed black mobile swastika in its talons, which is on top of / surrounded by another oak leaf and acorn wreath. 3 ¾ inches wide by 3 5/8 inches wide. Purchased from the veteran’s family. The group came with a note that it was shipped by a “Russell Landstorm” on July 25, 1945. The note is not included.
