Imperial - Hindenburg School War Aid Medal 1917
Hindenburg Plakette by Carl Poellath of Schrobenhausen. Constructed out of a die stamped zinc base that has been silver washed. The round shaped obverse features the left facing bust of a uniformed Hindenburg with “LM” (designer) to the left and “Hindenburg” to the right. The reverse reads: “Für Sohulkriegshilfe im Weltkriege” arched to the top, shows a centrally place helmet above: “Vergesst den Geist Von 1914 Nie!” and has “18. Febrvar 1917” to the bottom edge. The rim reads: “Carl Pöllath Schrobenhausen”. It measures 2 inches in diameter.
