Polizei Tschako Adler – 2nd pattern (c.June 1936-May 1945) by CTD - Christian Theodore Dicke of Lüdenscheid. It is constructed out of a die stamped aluminum-alloy base that has been old silver washed and lacquered. The obverse features a police eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in tis talons on top of a half oak leaf and acorn wreath. The hollow back reverse has two crimped-on brass male screws. The base of the screws are maker marked: “CTD”. As is typical of with many of these, it is flattened for display. It measures 6 5/16 inches wide by 3 3/16 inches tall. Purchased form the son of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) veteran that brought it back.
