Stickpin - SA Sports Badge in Bronze
Sturmabteilung Sportabzeichen in Bronze Aufschlagnadel. This piece would have been privately purchased and worn by the recipient while in civilian clothing. It is constructed out of a die struck bronze base that has been bronze washed and lacquered. The obverse depicts an upright vertical broad sword, in front of a mobile swastika, which is surrounded by an eight-piece laurel leaf wreath that is tied together at both sides. The fullback reverse has a soldered-on knurled stickpin. The head measures 7/16 of an inch wide by 15/16 of an inch tall. A proud owner.
