Upper Bavaria, Kreisland Schobenhausen, 1933 – Economic Festival Plaque for Services in the Local Fisheries by Cal Poellath of Schobenhausen. It is constructed out of a die stamped tombak base that has been gold gilded. The round shaped obverse features the Schobenhausen Town Square (Square Lenbachplatz) below “733/1933” (celebrating 1200 years) surrounded by “Oberbayer Kreisland Wirtschaftsfest Schobenhausen”. The reverse reads: “Für Verdienste um Die Heimische” above “Fischerei” flanked by the Schobenhausen coat of arms (left) and a swastika on a shield (right) surrounded by a laurel and berry wreath. The edge is maker marked: “Cal Poellath Schobenhausen”. It measures 1 3/16 inches in diameter. A unique early piece.
