NSV “Freie Schwesternschaft” Brooch by Ferdinand Hoffstätter of Bonn am Rhein. It is constructed out of a two-piece silver washed and burnished nickel-silver base that contains black, white and red enamel work. The round shaped obverse features the NSV emblem in red on a white round backing with a thin black border surrounded, in white Gothic style script “Freie Schwesternschaft” and all surrounded by a thin black border. The reverse is marker marked: “F. Hoffstätter Bonn” and paten marked: “Ges. Gesch”. It also features a horizontally soldered-on rectangular plate holding a well working pin assembly. It measures 1 ¼ inches in diameter. A hard to find brooch in good condition.
