Adolf Hitler Plaque
Erinnerungsplakette Adolf Hitler – “Gemeinnutz geht vor Eigennutz!” Similar Führer Plaques were officially recognized NSDAP non-portable awards. This is perhaps for a mid or lower ranking political or state official in recognition of their achievement. It is constructed out of a cast iron base that has been chemically burnished. The rectangular shaped obverse features Hitler’s bust with “Hensler” (designer mark) on his neck above “Gemeinnutz geht vor Eigennutz!” (Common good comes before self-interest) and a mobile swastika. The semi-hollow back has a cast-in wire hook for hanging. There is one casting line to the left of the swastika. It measures 4 ¼ inches wide by 6 1/8 inches tall.
