Buttonhole - NSDAP Membership Pin by RZM M1/42
Buttonhole Variation - Nationalsozialistische Parteiabzeichen by RZM M1/42 - Kerbach & Israel of Dresden. These were available for private purchase / given (HJ/BDM) to individuals after they had joined the NSDAP. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc base that has been silver washed and contains red, white and black enamel paint work. The round shaped obverse depicts a black mobile swastika on a white backing, encircled by: “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE - D.A.P.” on a red pebbled backing. The slightly concave reverse shows an integral raised male button hole platform, with a dual riveted on round plate. The reverse is also maker marked “RZM M1/42” it has “16-18” marked in white, which is a common characteristic as seen here: Buttonhole - NSDAP Membership Pin by RZM M1/42. It measures 15/16 of an inch in diameter. A unique variation!
