A Reichsparteitagabzeichen 1933. The 5th NSDAP Party Congress was held in Nuremberg on August 30th to September 3rd 1933. It was called the “Rally of Victory” (Reichsparteitag des Sieges). It is constructed out of a die struck bronze base that has been bronze washed and burnished. The obverse features a large political style national eagle, clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons, perched above the city of Nuremberg and reads “N.S.D.A.P Reichsparteitag Nürnberg 1933” to the base. The fullback reverse had a vertically soldered-on tombak pin assembly, though it was broken off when I got it and I glued it back on. The pin works well. It measures 2 inches tall by 1 3/8 inches wide. Purchased from the veteran’s family.
