Luftwaffe Leutnant Flight Kragenspiegel. It is constructed out of a lacquered tan buckram base that is covered in a yellow stitched/glued on wool with hand embroidered rolled, bunched and twisted silver/aluminum flatwire threads and is piped in a twisted silver/aluminum flatwire piping. The obverse features a Luftwaffe gull above an oak leaf and acorn cluster, which lies on a yellow backing and is surrounded by a dual flatwire twisted rope. The reverse shows the lacquered buckram base, to the center, that is surrounded by the folded over yellow wool covering and is surrounded by that same dual flatwire twisted rope. It measures 1 11/16 inches wide and 2 ½ inches tall. Purchased from the veteran’s family.
