Small BDM Pennant
Bund Deutscher Mädel (League of German Girls/Maidens) Wimpel. It is constructed out of a black died tricot fabric base with two stitched-on white, red and black died cotton machine embroidered emblems and two steel rings and black stitching. The triangular shaped obverse features an off-centered BDM/HJ emblem stitched to the two-ply black base with re-enforced stitching to the exterior and two stitched on rings to the hoist end. The reverse is similar to the obverse, with the exception that towards the tips of the emblem and the hoist end there is a single-ply base, I did not notice this when I purchased it originally. It measures 9 inches long and 6 ¼ inches tall (without the rings). A great piece with a perfect size for display.
