United States - Army Visor Cap Eagle
United States, WWII - Army Visor Cap Badge. It is constructed out of a die struck brass base that has been gold gilded. The observe features the Great Seal of the United States, which depicts; a bald eagle with out-streached wings, behind the escutcheon (shield) and is clutching 13 arrows in its left talon and an olive branch in its right, also it’s beak is clutching a scroll reading “E Pluribus Unum” and over its head there appears a glory with 13 mullets (stars) on a blue field. The reverse has two pins and a screw back device. It measures 2 1/4 inches wide by 2 3/8 inches tall.
