NSFK Sponsor Stickpin
Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Furderer Mitgliednadel. It is constructed out of a die struck cupal base that has been silver washed with burnished backgrounds. The obverse features the Greek god Icarus behind a mobile swastika that is encircled with “NSFK” to the top and “F” (Furderer - Sponsor) flanked by oak leaves. The full back reverse is maker marked behind the swastika (though I cannot make it out) and “Ges. Gesch.” patent marked. It has a soldered on oval plate and knurled stickpin. A beautiful example how the NSDAP used ancient Greek mythology, if you look for it you will find it.
