Luftwaffe Officers Breast Eagle
Brustadler für Offiziere der Luftwaffe gestickte Ausführung c.1936/1937-1945. It is constructed out of hand embroidered rolled and twisted aluminum-silver bullion-flatwire and tan cotton thread to a blue grey wool, white buckram and glued on blue paper backing. The obverse shows a 2nd pattern Luftwaffe eagle with outstretched wings clutching a mobile swastika in one of its talons. The reverse shows a small tape piece above a glued-on blue paper backing. It measures 3 1/2 inches wide by 2 inches tall.
