Republic of South Korea, Korean War, National Flag (c.1948-1953). Made out of a white, black, red and bluedyed rayon/silk base. The top and bottom edged have been folded over and stitched together. There are two blue cotton strings to the hoist ends. Evident fold marks and minor soilage throughout. Came in a Korean war veteran’s group from a William K. Fogg of the United States 40th Infantry Division. It measures 25 5/8 inches wide by 17 1/4 inches tall.
