Gautag Hessen-Nassau Badge 1936
A Gautag Hessen-Nassau (Frankfurt am Main) Badge by Phillip Gustav Fest or Hanau. It is constructed out of a die-struck aluminum-alloy base that has been silver washed. The shield shaped obverse features an NSDAP eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, above the Rhein and Main border and reads: “Gautag – Hessen – Nassau Frankfurt – AM Main” to the lower edge. The full back reverse is maker marked “Phillip Gustav Fest, Hanau” and features a horizontally crimped-on steel well working pin. It measures 1 3/8 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches tall.
