Long - Feuerwehr Extraseitengewehr by C. Lütters & Co. Löwenwerk of Solingen. The plated, 9 3/4 inch long, single edged, needle-point, fullered blade on this one looks great. The stamped resting lion maker mark is perfectly executed. The plating gives the blade a nice bright mirror like finish. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates Exc++/NM. It has scratches throughout and hits/nicks to the edges. The black leather buffer pad remains intact. The sheet metal based black enamel painted scabbard retains 95%+ paint coverage. It remains completely dent free. The iron-based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 98%+ plating coverage. The black bakelite diamond grip plates are perfectly fit and are secured by two solid nickel-silver rivets. It comes with a nice black leather frog. A nice example.
