2nd Model Luftwaffe by AES

A M1937 Fliegerdolch by Arthur Evertz of Solingen. The cleaned blade on this one looks good. It has an acid etched maker mark. It has some age and a few odd scratches. The blade on this one rates a solid Exc+. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The dark dent-free airplane grey plated later generic scabbard has wear. It depicts good details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. The throat is retained with two unturned headless screws. The burnished aluminum eagle crossguard, steel ferrule and aluminum pommel all look awesome! The eagle has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side oak leaves and acorns. The pommel is beautifully hand enhanced and look at those gold swas's!! The chip and crack-free trylon grip has aged to a deep yellow/orange over time. The double twist brass wire wrap remains tightly intact. A reasonably priced example by a rarer maker.
