Here we have an Army (Heer) Officers Breast Eagle (Brustadler)! It is constructed out of hand embroidered silver bullion/flatwire on a green wool backing. The obverse depicts a silver bullion / flatwire Heer open winged eagle, clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons. The reverse shows remnants of the uniform it was removed from. It measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide by 1 5/8 inches high. Beautiful craftsmanship!
