Early solid nickel- Hitler-Jugend Koppelschloß. Introduced in 1936. It is constructed out of a single piece of die struck nickel-silver that has been silver washed and chemically burnished. The obverse roundel depicts a closed winged HJ eagle clutching an HJ diamond within its talons on a pebbled round background. Above the eagle is the Hitler Youth motto reading: "Blut und Ehre" (Blood and Honor). This is then encircled by detailed lines which are enclosed by two twisted ropes and all lies on the smooth rectangular background. The reverse is unmarked. It shows a soldered-on brass catch and steel plated pin/post sleeve with brass prongs. The details to the eagle, motto and roundel are superb! It measures 2 7/16 inch wide by 1 7/8 inches high. This is an unmarked Giesse and Schmidt-Rare.
