Early Army Dagger by Alcoso
A Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by Alcoso of Solingen. The blade on this one looks good. The early acid etched “Alcoso ACS Solingen”? maker mark is nicely executed! The tip has a small mark and is ever so slightly bent. Lots of crossgrain remains visible. It shows very very minor age grey. The blade rates Exc+/Exc++. The large brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The Alcoso steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! Both original throat retaining screws remains intact. The zinc-alloy based, silver plated Alcoso eagle crossguard is minty with no finish loss and all the factory lacquer. The pommel is generic and not Alcoso manufacture. The orange, trylon grip on this one looks great. It has a wee hairline to the upper reverse pommel fit. The whole thing is nicely and evenly patinaed.
