Imperial Era Fighting Knife by Köller

WWI era Private purchase Nahkampfmesser by Hugo Köller of Solingen. Superior example of a private purchase fighting knife. These were used through both WWI and WWII. This one has light evidence it's been cleaned. It has an Imperial inspection mark and top the obverse a nice maker mark. It's unsharpened. The grip plates are secured with 2 rivets. The blade is well marked and Imperial proof marked. The scabbard retains about 98% of its' original painted surface. It's dent-free. The snap functions fine and the leather has wear and remains supple.
