M16 Army Helmet by Si66

Here we have a combat worn example of a M16 Helmet. The shell is constructed out of a stamped piece of steel sheet metal that has been period green painted. The shell has a folded over edge, two separately applied air vents and three split rivets, one of which is a replacement. When, where, who IDK but as always I try to share this stuff. The interior has three pads with all fingers that are supple & attached to a steel band. The exterior continues to retain 85%+ of its original paint! The helmet is maker marked and sized "Si66" indicating manufacture by Eisenhuette Silesia, Paruschowitz Oberschlesien size 66. The chinstrap looks quite original with two sliding brass adjustment straps.
