Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse by Wächter & Lange with case. This piece features a die struck, three piece, magnetic iron core and nickel silver frame. The obverse features a black enameled painted pattee style cross with a centrally placed swastika, above "1939" all within a ribbed and flat boarder. The reverse shows a flat back. It has the correct block hinge, round wire catch and coke bottle pin. The border has beautiful age and patina to it! The interior black paint remains 97% intact. Beautiful detail remains! The early quality vaulter, simulated, grained black leather case looks great! The button and hinge work well! The bottom portion of the case can come out Overall it's a beautiful example, one you can't go wrong on!
