2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Klaas - JLL variation

A M1937 Fliegerdolch by Robert Klaas of Solingen. The quality plated blade on this example shows some plating loss from where the runners rubbed the flats on the blade. The tip is perfect and the rare oval etched maker mark is beautifully executed! The blade rates Exc+. The dent-free WKC style scabbard is in good shape with some age, wear and stain. The textbook aluminum Klaas crossguard and pommel are beautifully detailed and in great condition. Look at the hand enhanced feathers to the eagle's breast, this variation was aptly named the JLL, (Jerry Lee Lewis) years ago by the GDC guys. The orange trylon grip has some rubs and a chip to the reverse next to the ferrule. It's a bit loose but the pommel is frozen. It may tighten but I just don't wanna risk damaging it. The double twist brass wire is intact.
