A M1938 - 2nd Model Kriegsmarine Dolch für Offiziere by Horster. This example has been cleaned to the exterior as well as the blade fading the etch some. The blade has some age and stain. The stamped double oval Horster maker mark. The blade rates a solid Exc+. The buffer pad is intact. The button works well. The scabbard looks good! It has even wear throughout with evidence of use but it continues to remain dent free, which is hard to come by with brass being such a soft metal! Both throat retaining screws remain unturned and intact. The crossguard and pommel area nicely detailed and remain in great condition. The wood based celluloid covered grip remains in great condition with no chips or cracks. The wire wrap looks good.
