SS NCO Degan by Peter Daniel Krebs-the most desirable maker. The blade on this one has age and pitting towards the tip. I'm tempted to sand this out but I'm leaving this as it landed. It has the original matte finish to the blade with no sharpening. The fit is nice and tight and the stamped Krebs maker mark looks great! The 33" blade rates Fair. A replacement white leather buffer pad remains intact. The black enamel dent-free painted scabbard is in great shape. The paint coverage remains better than 98% showing normal wear. The upper SS proofed scabbard fitting has nicely patinaed, remaining secured with two unturned dome head screws. There are a couple scuffs to the paint and some spots of oxidization but that's it. The plated hilt has even patina and some plating loss. The grip is in fine shape with wear but no chips or splits. The cast ferrule is nicely detailed with handwork throughout. The pommel nut has the correct SS cast runes in place. A good example!
