An excellent matching M1937 Fliegerdolch by F. Herder A. Sn. Solingen", (Friedrich Herder Abr. Sohn). The blade on this one is very nice. The acid etched crossed keys "F. herder WKC Solingen" maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! It has a perfect fit and sharp tip. The blade rates an NM. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The matching WKC scabbard is steel based with an airplane grey finish. It remains in excellent condition! The dent-free scabbard depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. The single side screw remains intact. The alloy based Luftwaffe eagle crossguard has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The pommel and steel ferrule look awesome as well with those proud oak leaves and acorns. Really nice to find them like this! The early chip and crack-free celluloid over plaster remains chip and crack-free. The springy aluminum wire wrap is tightly secured and looks great! Really nice all matching patina!
