2nd Model Luftwaffe by Gebr. Heller
A M1937 Fliegerdolch by Gebr. Heller of Marientha. The blade is plated with some corrosion and a bend or "wave" towards the tip. As with many smaller makers this employs other producers components. The dent-free Eickhorn scabbard is an airplane grey example with excellent detail and nice airplane grey finish. The throat is secured by two unturned headless screws. The crossguard and pommel are have nice burnish. The pommel retains it's gilt. This really sets off the celluloid grip. The grip shows wear and some soil but no cracks or chips. Nice tight double twist wire wrap. Rare maker in any condition.
