Personalized Imperial Grosser size Lion-head Garde Officer Sword

Well this is the nicest grosser size I've owned. It's a big heavy piece! The 32" blade is in NM condition. To the obverse is etched "Eisenhauer". Affixed to the obverse of the grip is a "Garde" star being the style with the starburst in the background and the enamel center area featuring the slogan "Suum Cuique". This would indicate that the sword was carrier by an officer of one of the Kaiser's Garde Regiments. The the reverse is the original owner's Monogram, "RS" the personalization is of Jeweler quality. To the reverse we have a guardian angel on a separately applied plate. The hand guard is pierced as is the languet. I could go on and on here but take a minute and observe the hand chased details on this. Look at all the gilt! The triple wrapped shark skin grip in in near perfect shape. The inset glass eyes are well executed. Around the kilt is a troddel in good shape. The heavy scabbard fits like a glove. Original paint is in good shape. It appears that there was a second band and ring on this at one point as there are witness marks 8" below the existing band. Really you rarely find pieces like this anymore especially from the Vet's family!
