2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Horster

Here we have a M1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger (Fliegerdolch) by E&F Horster of Solingen. The polished blade on this example has a couple spots of age but overall very clean with lots of crossgrain. The fit is nice and tight! take note of the "Ges. Gesch. under the double oval maker mark, a rare variant! The blade rates Exc++. The dent-free scabbard is an airplane grey example with good detail. The throat retaining screw remains intact. The alloy crossguard and pommel are nicely detailed and remain in good condition nicely matching the scabbard. Gilt remains to the pommels. The celluloid based grip is also in good shape having normal period wear but no cracks or chips. The springy aluminum wire wrap remains intact.
