NSDAP 40 Year Faithful Service Cross
A Treuedienst-Ehrenzeichen 1.Stufe für 40 Jahre 1938 im Etui. The 40 Year Faithful Service Cross was awarded to all officials, employees, and laborers at any level of the public service (local, regional or national) who completed 40 years of service. It is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been gold gilded and contains black enamel work and is finished in a protective lacquer coating. The obverse features a pebbled pattée style cross that has an oak leaf wreath visible through the corners and a centrally placed black static swastika / “Fur Treue Dienste” (For Faithful Service) to the reverse. To the top is a soldered loop and ring which holds approximately 6 inches of reproduction 25mm blue rayon ribbon. The award measures 1 5/8 inches wide and tall. This shows heavy wear.
