2nd Model Luftwaffe by Paul Weyersberg

A M1937 Fliegerdolch by Paul Weyersberg of Solingen. The more desirable inspection marked, plated blade on this one has some age gray towards the tip. It has a nicely executed acid etched "Paul Weyersberg Solingen" maker mark! It has a perfect tip and perfect fit. It rates a solid Exc+/Exc++. The blued pebbled leather buffer pad remains intact. The dent-free nickel plated scabbard looks great. It depicts awesome details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. The two throat retaining screws remain intact! The burnished aluminum eagle crossguard, steel ferrule and aluminum pommel all look awesome! The pommel is beautifully hand enhanced! The early chip and crack-free trylon grip has aged to a deep yellow over time toning one tone darker to the obverse. The wire wrap remains tightly intact.
