2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Holler
The earliest Holler variation. The bright blade on this one is very nice. The acid etched 18 tick thermometer "F. W. Holler Solingen" maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! Traces of crossgrain remain. There is evidence it's been cleaned and a few scratches. It has a perfect fit. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based nickel plated scabbard looks has some age and plating loss. It depicts good details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. It remains completely dent free and retains the throat retaining screw. It has nicely aged and patinaed with time. The eagle crossguard, steel ferrule and zinc pommel all look good! The eagle has good detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side oak leaves and acorns. The Johnson replacement trylon grip is a warm orange. The grip is in perfect shape! The brass springy wire wrap remains tightly intact.
