Here we have a M1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger (Fliegerdolch) by Paul Seilheimer of Solingen. The blade looks great. The ultra rare maker mark is crisply etched! It's been cleaned but crossgrain is nice. The tip comes to a perfect point. There are a few stains. The blade on this one rates in at Exc+/Exc++. The blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The dent-free scabbard is steel based and plated. It remains completely dent free. The throat retaining screw remains intact. It shows lots of wear and retains nice detail throughout with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. The aluminum-alloy based airplane grey eagle crossguard has nice detail to the eagles head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns. The steel ferrule and burnished aluminum-alloy pommel both look excellent. Both the pommel and guard have been hand enhanced! The warm orange trylon grip is near perfect with no cracks or chips. There is a wee mark at the bottom just above the eagle. The brass springy aluminum wire wrap remains tightly intact. If you are looking for rare makers this is your chance! First I've ever seen one.
