M1937 Fliegerdolch für Offiziere sold by Uniform Distributor Zeitler of Wien. Here's a nice example of what is a rare distributor marked Dagger. These distributors purchased unmarked daggers then put their own names on them. People have asked why some distributors have many variations on their trademark. It is my opinion that Zeitler chose to have the dagger manufacturer execute the distributor mark so different makers marked them slightly different. This one looks like it was Robert Klaas manufactured. The bright blade on this example is in good shape! Lots of crossgrain remains. There is some minor runner marks. The tip is perfect and the etched distributor mark and location is nicely executed. The blade rates Exc++/NM. The dent-free scabbard is in good shape with some minor wear and age. All crews remain. The textbook Klaas crossguard and pommel are beautifully detailed and in great condition. Look at the hand enhanced feathers to the eagle's breast, this variation was aptly named the JLL years ago by the GDC guys. The orange trylon grip has no damage. The double twist brass brass wire is intact. This one arrived with an army ferule instead of a textbook Luftwaffe. This did happen coming out of the factory on occasion, see Witty's Luftwaffe reference. Regardless I'll include a Luftwaffe ferule for you. Overall this one has a gorgeous body and will make for an excellent display!
