Early Army Dagger by Alcoso

A Model 1935 - Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by Alcoso of Solingen. The blade on this one looks good. The early acid etched “Alcoso ACS Solingen”? maker mark is nicely executed! The tip comes to a perfect point. Some crossgrain remains visible. It shows minor age grey and spotting. The blade rates Exc++. The large brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The Alcoso steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! Both original throat retaining screws remains intact. The zinc-alloy based, silver plated Alcoso eagle crossguard is minty with no finish loss and all the factory lacquer. The early Alcoso pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns that are easily visible through the back burnishing perfectly matching the hilt in finish and patina. The orange, trylon grip on this one looks great. It is chip and crack-free. For interest sake this one came through Tom Wittmann and was featured in Down the Cellar 112. Really the nicest Alcoso I've had in months.
