A M1937 Fliegerdolch by Richard Abr. Herder. The blade on this one looks excellent. The maker mark is beautifully executed! It has a nice crossgrained finish to it, with a solid fit and perfect tip. There is some age dots I've not tried to clean. The blade on this one rates a solid Exc+/Exc++. The blued pebbled leather buffer pad remains securely intact. The steel based airplane grey plated scabbard has wear and surface oxidation. it is dent-free. This is a WKC scabbard we often see these used on smaller makers who did not produce their own components. The reverse throat retaining screw remains intact! The heavy zinc crossguard and pommel are matching in color. The eagle has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side oak leaves and acorns. The celluloid over plaster grip is chip-free. The grip is in wonderful shape! No issues. The double twist brass wire wrap remains tightly intact. Nice!
