Model 1935 - 4th Pattern - Heer Dolch by Carl Eickhorn. The blade on this one looks wonderful. The acid etched “Original Eickhorn Solingen” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is gorgeous, running the full length of the blade being is easily visible as you shine it in the light. The fit is perfect as is the tip. The blade rates an easy NM. It shows minor spotting and scratches throughout. The original brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and oak leaf and acorn bands. It remains completely dent free and the original throat retaining screw continues to remain intact. The zinc-alloy based, thick nickel-silver plated Eickhorn (Paul Casberg-designed) crossguard provides beautiful & crisp detail. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The orange trylon based grip on this one is looks wonderful. Only the odd bump throughout. The silver has gorgeous patina and burnishing throughout. Textbook construction.
