SS Visor Cap Eagle by RZM M1/17
A SchutzStaffel Schirmmütze Adler by F. W. Assmann & Sohne of Lüdenscheid. It is constructed out of an injection molded aluminum-alloy/cupal base that has been silver washed and lacquered. The obverse features a left facing SS eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons. The hollow back reverse is maker marked: “RZM M1/17” (F. W. Assmann & Sohne, Lüdenscheid) and features two tombak flatwire prongs. One prong has been replaced and it may have been refinished. It measures 2 11/16 inches wide by 1 ¼ inches tall.
