A polished aluminum flag pole finial, in the form of an eagle whose outstretched wings have a span of 25cm and which clutches a wreathed, mobile swastika in its talons. The obverse of the swastika is painted in black enamel, most of which has been retained. From the base of the wreath extends a collar, 70mm deep with a 25mm internal diameter. Two perforations may be seen to its exterior, along with a stamped RZM, "Reichszeugmeisterei" (National-material-control-office), logo and "M3/40/38," being a manufacturer’s code with a date. Nice.
