A Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by August Bickel of Steinbeck-Hallenberg. The blade on this one is a bit tired with age gray and stain. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "AB August Bickel of Steinbach/Hallenberg" maker mark are clearly executed! The fit remains nice and tight. The blade rates an Exc+. The brown anodized scabbard body remains dent-free but with some surface oxidation. The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards remain in great shape! The initials "FS" are to the upper obverse. They have matching patina and wear. All four screws remain intact. The ball retains its original round shape. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Groupe marked "Mi", Mitte albeit a little of center. Peek at the top of the upper guard and you will see the initials, FS". The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The hardwood grip looks great with The initials, "FS" carved in the reverse. It is chip and crack-free with normal wee hits and marks from wear. The solid nickel eagle has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel! The original hanger remains. A nice piece, here from the Vet's family for the taking!
