A 1st Model (M1934/35) Luftwaffe Dagger (Fliegerdolch) by Holler of Solingen. The plated blade on this one is very nice. The maker mark is beautifully executed! The plating gives it a nice mirror like finish. There are a few "nail catchers" to the edge, witness marks from where the runners have been resting for the past 80 years and dots of age. The blade rates Exc+. The original blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The original blue, pebbled, leather scabbard body remains is in matching condition! It has the odd pressure mark and small cut yet it retains 99% coverage and has a perfect seam! The scalloped nickel scabbard fittings remain in excellent condition with nice patina. The fittings are tightly secured with all five original screws! The nickel chain has 12 lower and 8 upper ringlets that ends at a well working “DRGM” Assman marked clip. The hilt looks great! The four sun wheel swastikas look great. The grip leather remains in good condition with a rub to the obverse with a bit of leather loss. The nickel-silver triple wire wrap remains tightly intact.
