Model 1935 Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by Eickhorn of Solingen. The grip of this example is a fine orange trylon type with a few rubs. The Eickhorn scabbard is dent-free. This scabbard has deeply toned patina and appears to be in nice condition beneath the patination. The bands have good detail and the throat is retained by a single reverse flathead screw. The blade, though, is where it is on this piece. It’s an artificially etched example in fine condition throughout, with just a bit of bunted tip. The artificial Damascus was known as the "poor man's Damascus", as it certainly was priced a lot cheaper than a true Damascus blade, but gave a fine, dramatic effect to the piece. Complete with original leather blade buffer. A wonderful original example of seldom encountered extra cost option from a known manufacturer.
