Retired Soldier Badge on Rosette
Veterans’ badge centered on a rosette. These are in gilt washed alloy, shield shaped veterans’ association badge, featuring, to its obverse, a fouled anchor and crossed swords on a pebbled background, over which is affixed a five-pointed star. Dual prongs to the reverse of the badge fix it to a plate, whose reverse has a hinged pin and catch assembly to it. Between the badge and its backing plate is sandwiched a 1 3/8" diameter "rosette," decoratively folded to create a radiating effect. The rosette, which is made of rayon.
