Cased NSDAP Long Service Award 25 Year
NSDAP Dienstauszeichnung in Gold für 25 Jahre by (RZM M11/19) Wilhelm Deumer of Lüdenscheid. A cross constructed of gilded bronze, with white enameled arms, and gilt sun rays between the arms of the cross; the obverse with a central white enameled medallion bearing a national eagle superimposed on the award, clutching a mobile wreathed swastika, all within a wreath; the reverse with a similar central white enameled medallion, inscribed “Treue für Führer und Volk” (German - Loyalty for the Leader and the People); on a loop for suspension, marked “19”. This is not “19” (Wiedmann) as Präsidialkanzlei (PKZ) numbers were not used on NSDAP long service awards. Approximately 42.19 mm x 42.03 mm; weighing 23.7 grams; with original ribbon. Original case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper with a red leatherette exterior; embossed with a golden national eagle on the outside lid; interior of the lid lined in off-white silk; with an off-white velvet recessed medal bed; functional push button for opening and closing; intact interior hinge cover; functional exterior metal hinge; moderate scuffing to exterior; bottom exhibiting more in range of ca 20% scuffing; measuring ca. 110mm x 70mm.
