A rare piece missing from most Edged Weapon collections! The blade on this one has been retipped and still looks good! The crisp acid etched "Ges. Gesch." TENO (Technische Nothilfe) eagle and "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark are beautifully executed and provide a nice contrast to the bight blade! Traces of crossgrain remain. The tip comes to a perfect point with a bit of stain and the fit is nice and tight! The obverse is serial stamped "1345" under the crossguard and matches the scabbard throat! The last blade digitlooks to be missstamped and redone, I'm sure at the factory. Yes, there were Mondays in the 3rd Reich! The blade rates a solid Exc. It shows some spotting. The buffer pad is lost to time. The steel based nickel-silver plated and burnished scabbard looks great as well! It depicts nice detail with the random pebbling throughout and decorative bands and tip! It shows just light wear. It remains completely dent free and look at the factory burnish! The throat retaining screw remains intact. The scabbard/crossguard fit is perfect. The TENO eagle crossguard and Cog Wheel Pommel are zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated and black burnished. The eagle shows nice vaulting and is beautifully detailed! They continue to retain 99%+ plating. The orange trylon grip is in excellent condition! It shows the common wear yet remains crack and chip-free! Most of these have been snatched up in collections already so if you've been looking for one I wouldn't hesitate!
